My children wear these three seasons of the year (6F-60F). Mud, snow, rain. It's lightweight, yet warn, yet they don't overheat. It allows space for layering for long, cold winter hikes.
Oh the adventures this has allowed us!
This is certainly the most amazing jacket ! The boiled wool is water repellent and windproof and roomy enough to layer underneath, so it was all we needed for Gulf Islands winter. We wore it every day. Wide sleeves make it easy to put those tiny arms through.
The sizes run really big, so our baby could only start wearing the 3-6month size at about 4months, and she was quite big. However the cuff design is so clever you can really fold up those sleeves well, and when they were down they just kept her little hands toasty warm. Also I bet it'll fit her till she's 12 months so we'll get lots of use out of it.
My only complaint is the hood is quite big still and she is now 6.5months, and the top button would always come undone and hood fall off because, well, 3-6month olds don't have a very long neck. I imagine that's not an issue for toddler sizes.
We look forward to getting a larger size for next season, it's an amazing design, so warm, so so cute and so practical; doesn't look dirty as you can just brush off all the Earth materials that get on it.
We love these jackets so much. It started our Disana stash. We have every size since 6 months and will be getting a size up until the size maxes out. My son always picks this one. I think because he doesn't over hear but is cosy warm while not being bulky. The fit is roomy but not oversized so it's comfortable for him. We get complements all the time!
