Our Brands
BMS
BMS is a German outdoor clothing design company. Using simple substances that are washable and both dirt and water repellent. All BMS clothing has waterproof layers that are made using environmentally conscious materials.
BMS's clothing is developed to function well as children play and move, whether they are in the forests or on the playground. By observing what children do, what hinders them, and what makes them feel most comfortable and free, BMS creates clothing that supports natural play, exploration, and development.
Engel
A family-owned company, Engel has been making base layers and clothing in Germany for 85 years. Today, their collections include underwear and clothing for babies and children and adults.
All of their materials are bio-degradable and do not pollute soil, air or water. They are also nickel-free, and their buttons are made from natural, renewable raw materials, and they are monitored at regular intervals by independent certified environmental laboratories and institutes.
Disana
Located in Germany, Disana is dedicated to producing fabrics which meet the highest ecological demands. Whether these are articles from their children’s clothing range or from their home textiles series, the main focus is always on eco-friendliness.
Disana is also a founding member of the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry (IVN) and is committed to adhering to its guidelines for natural textile production; these are recognized as the most comprehensive, strictest guidelines in the world.
Hirsch Natur
Founded in Westphalia neer Laer in 1928, Hirsch Natur is a founding member of Naturtextil eV (AKN) and the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry.
Hirsch Natur creates socks using modern mechanical electronic stocking machines and yet, there is still a lot of work done by hand. The mechanical stocking knitting machines are driven by electric motors. In 2009, Hirsch Natur built solar panels on the roof of the company which now covers 50% of their electricity needs and will soon cover 100%. The production waste and the packaging material for their yarns is completely recycled by partner companies in nearby Emsdetten.
All of the socks are pre-washed—taking extra care to use as little water as possible—so that they are extra clean and fluffy soft. This also reduces the shrinkage process in subsequent washes.
Hocosa
Founded in 1886 as a knitwear factory in Winterthur, Switzerland, the company was bought by the family Schwartz in 1997 and this year it was purchased by Michele and Alessandra Genovesi. The Hocosa line is dedicated to organic fibres and has been a member of the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry since 2001.
Hocosa products currently carry Europe’s coveted Kb-T Certification for Organic Textiles and are manufactured in Bedano near Lugano, Switzerland, according to the strictest environmental requirements and can therefore be sold as “Swiss Made”
Pickapooh
Pickapooh has been a hat manufacturer since 1991, specializing in the design and production of ecological, fashionable and high-quality hats and other accessories that children and adults like to wear because of their good fit and soft materials.
Their merino wool/silk blend is ideal for our hats and scarves because the material regulates heat and moisture and supports a healthy skin climate.
