These run very large! The 146 turned out to be the right size for a petite adult female (5' 4", 120 lbs). When in doubt, size down so your kid isn't swimming in the jacket!
It's so nice to actually stay dry in the rain, unlike with so many other types of rain gear. Paired with our wool Warmth and Weather sweaters, we're staying toasty warm. These will definitely also come along on any canoe trips we do.
The material is easy to clean, supple yet sturdy, keeps everything underneath dry and has so much flexibility for layering through 0 degrees icy rains to 18 degrees warmer spring showers. I used to hate rain days with kiddo but I’ve been converted!
We trialed this jacket on our eldest child, and were so impressed with its durability, visibility, warmth, and waterproof-ness, that we purchased head-to-toe Warmth and Weather gear (rain jackets, rain pants, and fleece-lined mitts) for our 2 younger children as well. Friends regularly ask us what the brand name of our children’s gear is, as they also have noticed that our children always end up the driest at the end of their forest school days! We highly recommend this gear, and wish adult sizes were offered!
The quality, construction and style of this jacket is second to none. This material is impermeable yet very breathable. The size runs on the larger size but we benefited by this by having this coat for a long time.
Thank you Leah for sharing your experience. :)
