There’s something quite special about Hocosa. Rooted in Lugano, Switzerland—where Italian is spoken, and winding streets invite you to slow down—this family-run manufacturer embodies care, craftsmanship, and warmth in every sense of the word.
During a Warmth and Weather manufacturer visit, we had the privilege of spending time with Michele Genovesi, Hocosa’s owner, touring their facility just outside the city in Bedano. From the early morning arrival to walking the production floor, the experience offered a clear window into how thoughtfully these garments are created.

Made with Care, From Start to Finish
Inside the Hocosa workshop, each step of production unfolds with intention. Fabric is carefully laid and cut, pieces are sewn and finished by skilled hands, and final details—cuffs, labels, snaps, and steaming—are completed before packaging. Many team members have been with Hocosa for years, some for decades, and flexible working hours allow families to stay connected to daily life. The result is a workplace filled with pride, rhythm, and genuine warmth.
This care shows up in every one of their base layers.
